Schaefer Consulting provides policy, research, and advocacy services on early childhood education and other child and family issues for nonprofit organizations and public agencies.

Specializing in:

  • Policy Research: synthesizing the latest research evidence, statistics, program data and stakeholder input to inform policy decisions.

  • Policy Advocacy: providing information, analysis and support to federal and state advocacy campaigns, including reports, briefs, action alerts, bill summaries and analyses.

  • Training and Technical Assistance: developing and delivering trainings for advocacy professionals and early childhood educators to equip them with new knowledge and skills. MSDE-Approved Trainer for Core of Knowledge (COK) and continued education child care trainings.

  • Bridging Research and Policy: translating technical research information into more user-friendly language and formats to reach a broader audience.

About Stephanie

Stephanie Schaefer, Ph.D., has worked for two decades on federal and state child policy issues in the nonprofit sector.  She is a preschool teacher, researcher, and policy analyst.  Stephanie’s work for clients is informed by her breadth of experience in early childhood policy, research, and practice.
